I’ve done this so many times.
If you can’t wash the fabric, then cut off a length of thread, put it in your mouth and chew it for a few minutes, then use it to rub away the (fresh) blood stain. Apparently there’s something in your saliva that breaks done the blood. I can’t remember where I read this tip, but professional seamstresses/tailors do it.
Sending you a virtual sticking plaster,
ClaireBear
Good tip Claire. Thanks!
Ouch… Well I guess all artists suffer for their work! Hope this heals soon…
I was 20 before I managed to use real right hand scissors properly. Be careful, now that your finger is hurt, it will end up in clumsy places.
I fought my rotary cutter and lost…thankfully no stitches. You would think I would know better
Ouch…………Been there, done that, and, have the doctor bill to prove it. I snipped a perfect V in the end of my finger. A couple of stitches (not on the sewing machine) and I was as good as new. Who knew quilting was a contact sport.
Ooooh my cut wasn’t as bad as that! Ouch indeed!
ouch ouch ouch!!! i’ve done this and it hurts like crazy. hope it’s better…and hopefully it was for something beautiful.
