Day Five at Penland ~ Improv Quilts!

So here are the results from yesterday’s WIP’s. Pretty impressive right? Of course some of these folks were in the studio until 1AM working on finishing their quilt tops. Each is a variation on a traditional quilt block. Can you guess which ones?

The weekend at Penland is full of activities and the studios are open 24/7. My students will be busy working on the next improv quilt score. I’ll be reporting again on Monday – with a Fourth of July surprise!

They’re all wonderful, and very distinctive–one from the other. Looks like everyone is having a great time!

That’s incredible. In the same amount of time I have not even looked at my machine. But I found a friend who is new to quilting. It’s all so inspiring!
