April brought the beginning of spring, spring allergies, and (mostly) forgiving the trees for their gorgeous blossoms. Brooklyn is full of flowering trees.

  2. While you are working one end of the body, I’m on the other: at the French School in Shanghai, making hats with middle school students & in the studio, making hats based on Shanghai Skyscrapers…

  3. Great looking socks.

Your socks look terrific! I like these best so far. I’m still knitting Christmas stockings. At least I know they’ll be done in time!

One of the two toddlers I look after went potty (no 2) all by herself in the kid potty !~! First time for that particular skill; we cheered and laughed and high-fived and fist-bumped and then had a glass of chocolate milk to celebrate… Mm mm good.

Planting greens, radishes, peas, and beets in the garden… Finished a new painting… Finally getting around to filing my taxes (a bit late but better than never!)

  7. Linda says:

I visited an old friend, and together we went to art galleries, and toured a lighthouse, and went out to eat gourmet Brussells sprouts!

  8. Nancy says:

Tai chi demonstration at SFSU. Finished page layouts for my book and have made progress with another project’s presentation. Cleaned my studio thoroughly–spring cleaning. Evening out with a new friend and re-connected with an old friend.

My birthday was on Wednesday…and my sweetheart thought it was on Thursday. After 26 years of celebrating together. I don’t know how he made that mistake, but I am very happy that I just laughed about it and we celebrated a bit on both days…and are still celebrating today. I’m so glad that I have learned to find the humor, resist the impulse to martyrdom, and use my energy to make happy memories. A good start to a new year.

Oh, April, we are so close to Spring, the air is full of sweetness, flowers bloom everywhere, and tourists have arrived in huge amounts here in Florence.
Nights are chilly, though, a good thing so that I can continue wearing my wools…

First week of April? Easy my birthday is on the 2nd! I’m not one of those “I don’t have birthdays anymore” people. I figure the day I entered this realm is the most important day of my life and I will celebrate it big time every year cuz I’m just glad to be here :) Would love some socks as a belated bday surprise.
